Meet Kristof

Service. Experience. Family.

Kristof Von Anderson is a husband, father, Army veteran, and candidate for Dania Beach City Commission. His approach is practical: listen carefully, ask hard questions, and deliver results residents can see.

He believes residents deserve transparent, fiscally responsible leadership and growth that strengthens Dania Beach without leaving the community behind.

Issues & priorities

Affordability. Fair growth. Transparent government.

Kristof is running to protect the quality of life Dania Beach residents value, make growth work for the whole community, and ensure City Hall is accountable for its decisions and every public dollar.

Responsible Growth That Protects Our Neighborhoods

I will carefully evaluate major development proposals for their effects on traffic, drainage, infrastructure, neighborhood character, and quality of life. I will push for meaningful community input and clear public benefits before supporting major projects.

Transparent & Fiscally Responsible Government

I will advocate for plain-language reporting of city budgets, contracts, project schedules, and results. I will scrutinize bids, change orders, and major expenditures to make sure taxpayers receive value for every dollar.

Local Jobs & Opportunity

I will work to make city contracting opportunities easier to find and compete for, with stronger outreach to local small businesses and minority, women and veteran-owned businesses. I will push for public reporting on local participation in city contracts.

His story

Rooted here. Ready to serve.

From his formative years in Broward County to military service, technology operations, and construction management, Kristof's path has always centered on responsibility and getting the job done.

01

Broward County Roots

Kristof grew up in Broward County and graduated from McArthur High School. The community, neighborhoods, and working families of this area shaped his belief in hard work, perseverance, personal responsibility, and service to others.

02

Family First

Kristof and his wife, Ashleigh, have been together since they were high school sweethearts and have been married since 2010. They are raising three children: London, Harlem, and Kristof Von Anderson II.

03

Service to Country

Kristof served as a noncommissioned officer in the United States Army, was stationed in Vicenza, Italy, and deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His service instilled discipline, accountability, leadership, and selfless service.

04

Built for the Work

After nearly a decade in operational roles at Apple, Kristof transitioned into construction and preconstruction management, where he works with budgets, schedules, subcontractors, planning, and project delivery.

Leadership through service

“Serving something greater than yourself.”

Kristof's Army service included a deployment to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010. While overseas, he missed the birth of his first daughter, an experience that gave him a deep understanding of duty, commitment, and the sacrifices made by military families.

After the deployment, Ashleigh and their daughter joined him in Italy. That journey continues to shape the discipline, accountability, and selfless approach he brings to leadership today.

Education & career

Practical experience for a growing city.

Kristof earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a Master of Science in Project Management. After his military service, he spent nearly a decade with Apple in operational roles before transitioning into construction and preconstruction management.

Today, he helps manage budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, project planning, and the many moving parts required to deliver successful projects. That experience gives him a direct understanding of how development works, how dollars are spent, and why cities must negotiate from a position of strength.

Development should not simply happen to Dania Beach. It should work for Dania Beach.

The campaign

A campaign built around Dania Beach.

Kristof is running to make growth work for residents, protect public dollars, and expand local opportunity.
